FFS
I've been looking at my face and how easily recognizable as male it is. The illusion of femininity does hold up a bit, but from far and not for long. It's very brittle.
If I had the money or a good job I'd certainly go to Dr. Ousterhout, but do you have around $30.000 ? Me neither, so I'm thinking I'm going to be stuck with this old stupid farce, sorry face, for a while. Hormones have helped heaps though, my face used to be much more masculine and ugly than now. My expressions (especially when I smile) have a nice deal of femininity in them thanks to the hormones.
But well, other things look more reachable, like a tracheal shave (I'm afraid of the possible complications though), laser, an orchiectomy and the eventual boob job. SRS, with its high fees and high psych costs belongs in Ousterhaut land.

I know exactly what you mean. I am also tired of staring at the same masculine face every day of my life. I wish I could win the Lotto or something to have my entire face redone. It is true, hormones help but unfortunately not much. In order to erase the effects of the freaking hormone testosterone, FFS is a must. I keep dreaming though. Some day...
It all depends on how old you are and how scarred with testosterone you've been. I don't know how long you've been on hormones but all I can say is it *does* get better. Of course, the bone that's set in there only surgery will remove, but nowadays my face looks more feminine than any time before at 1 year and 1 month of hormones. Subtle changes I'd never predicted and that can be hardly seen, but that scream "feminine".
Still, I'd have FFS in a heartbeat.
I can pass most of the time, even without any makeup on but there's a lot of the "is she or isn't she" on people sometimes that I wish I didn't have to contend with.
